WHAT'S A MACARON?
PRONOUNCED [ma-ka-rohn]
A macaron (French pronunciation: [ma-ka-rohn]) is a sweet meringue-based pastry made with egg whites, icing sugar, granulated sugar, almond flour, and food coloring.
WHAT ARE THEY MADE OF?
French macarons, unlike their american equivalent, do not contain any coconut
The macaron traditionally consists of a ganache, buttercream or jam filling sandwiched between two cookies.
The name is derived from the Italian word macarone, maccarone or maccherone, the meringue.
MACARON PERFECTION!
The confection is characterized by a smooth squared top, a ruffled circumference (referred to as the "foot" or "pied"), and a flat base.
It is mildly moist and easily melts in the mouth.

We ship our macarons in custom made insulated envelope with a minimum of two frozen ice pack to keep the macarons fresh while in transit.
We also pack the box with bubble wrap to avoid any breakage.

1. What is a macaron?
Pronounced [ma-ka-rohn]
Different from its American cousin the Macaroon (a coconut based cookie) with 2 o’s pronounced ma-ka-rune.
Macaron are French cookie made from a perfect blend of meringue, almond flour and powdered sugar.
These are then sandwiched together with a filling, typically a chocolate ganache, buttercream or jam.

2. How should I store my macarons?
Macarons can be stored in refrigerator for up to a week or in a freezer for up to a month (if kept wrapped in plastic film or in a box)

3. How should I serve my macarons?
Macarons should be served a little cooler than room temperature.
Take the macarons out of the refrigerator and let sit in room temperature for 10- 15 minutes depending on the flavors and then serve.
Ganache and fruit filling can be consumed right out of the fridge.

4. Are macarons gluten free?
Our Potter'ohn macarons are gluten free and so are most of our other flavors.
No flour is added to the shell, they are made from the finest Californian Almond Meal.
Some of our macarons are not gluten free because of the fillings used.
Please read the descriptions in the Menu if you have a Gluten allergy to be sure.

5. Macarons and allergies?
All macarons are made with almond flour and are cooked in close proximity to where other nuts are prepared and stored.
If you have a nut allergy we do not suggest eating our macarons.

6. Do you ship nationwide?
Yes we do!
We ship our macarons nationwide (U.S only) Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico are part of our shipping zone at no extra cost

7. How do you ship?
- Our macarons are shipped in plastic blister boxes where each macaron is protected in its own individual pocket, these blister packages are plastic shrink sealed to guard freshness.
- Blister packages are placed in medical grade insulated envelopes with ice packs to avoid our fillings from shifting or melting during transit.
- These envelopes are then packed with bubble wrap and placed inside the shipping box to avoid excess movement during transit.
